Ford Fusion is Heading Towards its Best Annual Sales
It seems that the current Ford Fusion is on its path to best sales year. Ford is also planning to showcase its new Fusion mid-size sedan after a couple of weeks.
Ford is about to showcase new Fusion mid-size sedan in a couple of weeks. According to the sources, this new sedan is stunning. Even though Ford is coming up with new Fusion, the current Fusion seems to take path of its best sales year. This is really a great achievement. The Japanese earthquake and tsunami resulted in fewer Japanese cars like Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, which boosted the sales of the current Fusion.
According to Ford, the current Fusion has made impressive achievements that include rise in sales by 54% from 2006 to 2010. The sales of the 2011 are expected to close around 240,000, thus, making 2011 year as the best sales year yet. Ford Fusion has captured 5.2% share in the mid-size segment since 2006, which is the first full year of sales of Fusion. In the year 2006, Ford cars sold 142,502 units of Fusion and had 6.7% of segment share. In 2010, Fusion had sales of 219,219 and 11.9% of segment share.
The shares of Fusion have increased from 4.49% in 2007 to 8.22% in 2011 in the East. In the West, Fusion’s share has increased from 4.31% to 7.34% in the same 2007-2011 period. Fusion brought a hybrid variant for 2010 model year with the rating of 41mpg in city traffic.
